Ukrainian Zaporizhcox reported a decrease in coke production in January 2026 due to the war

The Ukrainian coke plant Zaporizhkoks, part of the Metinvest Group, announced its production results for January this year.

In the specified month, the company produced 59,700 tons of blast furnace coke, which is 19.7 percent less than in the same period last year.

The year-on-year decrease in production in January of this year is due to a reduction in coal concentrate supplies caused by shelling of Ukraine's port and transport infrastructure, which makes it difficult to deliver raw materials, as well as power outages, which limits the stable operation of production units.
