In the fourth quarter, the company produced 15.1 million tonnes of iron ore, an increase of 5.6 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, mainly due to increased production at the Kumba mine in South Africa. In 2025, the company's iron ore production amounted to 60.8 million tons, remaining stable year-on-year.
The company's iron ore sales in the fourth quarter totaled 16.16 million tons, down 0.3 percent, while iron ore sales in 2025 totaled 61.54 million tons, up one percent year-on-year.
In the fourth quarter of last year, Coomba iron ore production increased by 9.8 percent year-on-year to 8.59 million tons, while in 2025, Coomba iron ore production increased by 0.9 percent year-on-year to 36.08 million tons.
Regarding Brazil's Minas Rio iron ore project, Anglo American said its iron ore production in the fourth quarter was 6.52 million tons, up 0.7 percent from the previous year, while it decreased 1.1 percent year-on-year to 24.75 million tons in 2025.
Anglo American's estimated iron ore production is 55-59 million tons in 2026, 59-63 million tons in 2027 and 58-62 million tons in 2028.
