Indian company JIL HAS COMMISSIONED a new steel coating line in West Bengal
Indian steel producer Jindal India Limited (JIL), part of B C Jindal Group, has commissioned a line for the production of value-added steel products, which has resulted in an investment of $121 million in the eastern state of West Bengal, the company said in a statement on Monday, February 9.

The line is expected to increase the production of value-added steel products by 60 percent to about 0.3 million tons.

The company stated that the newly commissioned line was supplied by SMS Esmech and is equipped with advanced automation, accurate coating management and process control systems.

The line is expected to contribute an additional 20 percent to JIL's total revenue.
