In January of this year, Vietnam's steel imports totaled 1.52 million tons, down 16.4 percent from December and up 60.6 percent from January 2025, while scrap metal imports decreased 25.8 percent month-on-month and increased 68.4 percent year-on-year to 507,237 tons. according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam.
