The Metallurgical Plant Zaporozhstal last month increased the production of metal rolling to 247 thousand tons, which is 14.3% more than in February 2012. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
In February 2013, production steel at the Zaporizhstal Communist Party amounted to 294 thousand 800 tons - 6.9% more than last year and cast iron smelting amounted to 247 thousand 600 tons ( +3%).
Simultaneously with the growth of production indicators, the company steadily increases the energy efficiency of steel production. Thus, according to the plant’s report, the consumption of natural gas is significantly reduced in steel production (compared to the same period last year): the minimum natural gas consumption amounted to 33.4 m 3 per ton of smelted steel (for comparison, in February 2012 42.4 m 3 per toned), which gave the economy of the economy natural gas of more than 3 million m 3 per month. "
As we have already reported, in January of this year, Zaporizhstal increased production volumes by 9.9% compared to the same period in 2012 - up to 329 thousand 100 tons, the cast iron smelting - by 4.3% - up to 279 thousand tons, and the release of the metal rolling - by 7.4%, up to 282 thousand tons.
In 2013, the Zaporozhstal metallurgical plant expects to maintain the volume of metal products at the level of last year, as well as invest about 830 million UAH in the modernization of metallurgical production, which is 2.5 times more than in 2012.
