CAAM: Sales of cars powered by new energy sources in China increased by 0.1 percent in January 2026

According to the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in January of this year, the production and sale of new energy vehicles (NEV) in China amounted to 1,041 million units and 945,000 units, which is 2.5 percent and 0.1 percent more than last year, respectively.

The transition and adjustment of tax policy in the purchase of new energy vehicles affected NEV sales in January.
