Metinvest will build a new agglopric in Enakievo

On the territory of the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant, work was started to dismantle dilapidated buildings and structures for clearing the site for the construction of an agglophamic. This was reported in the press service of Metinvest.

22.75 hectares of the territory were allocated for buildings and structures of the agglopric. Part of the squares will be rented from the current Enakievsky Koksochemical Plant. Investments of Metinvest in the project will amount to more than 360 million US dollars.

The Metinvest group understands that the work of additional agglomeration capacities can damage the ecology of the region and is taking all measures to reduce emissions of harmful substances.

“Our company is aware of the importance of solving environmental problems in Enakievo. We are actually fulfilling the promise of our main shareholder (Rinata Akhmetov, approx.) The country's president to build a modern environmentally friendly agglopric, ”said Alexander Podkorytov, General Director of EMZ PJSC.

Preparatory work, begun back in February this year is in full swing. Over the next few months, more than ten dilapidated buildings will be dismantled and the place for the construction of new production will be completely cleaned. The highest pipe in the Enakievo pipe in the old coke for more than 110 meters will be demolished.

The agglofrics working today in Ukraine were built more than 30 years ago, and the one that was located in Enakievo was put into operation before the Second World War in 1938, when it was simply dangerous to think about the dangers of ecology in the USSR, and not that the company’s press service said to make any construction requirements there.

“The launch of a new agglopric is a priority for Enakievo's ecology. We are glad that the real work on the construction site has begun and we will pay close attention to the implementation of the project, ”said Valery oleinik, mayor of Enakievo.
