S. Department of Commerce, tin plate imports to the United States totaled 97,907 tons in November last year, up 17.4 percent from October and up 37.2 percent year-on-year. In value terms, tin plate imports totaled $136.46 million in November this year, compared with $124.78 million in October and $108.68 million in November 2024.
The United States imported the largest amount of tin plates from Germany in November with 27,913 tons, compared with 25,080 tons in October and 19,668 tons in November 2024. Other main sources of tin plate imports in November include the Netherlands with 17,199 tons, Taiwan with 16,642 tons, Canada with 11,598 tons, India with 10,407 tons and Turkey with 8,518 tons
