The Metinvest group, which at once belongs to two city -forming enterprises of Mariupol MMK named after Ilyich and Azovstal, announced the start of the competition for the best social project among public organizations, municipal institutions and local residents under the name “City of our hands - 2013”.
As planned by metinvest managers, the implementation of the program should be aimed at improving the quality and level of comfort in the social environment of the regions of the presence of the group.
“The purpose of the“ City - Our Hands - 2013 ”contest is the development and implementation of projects aimed at creating innovative approaches to solve social problems and increasing the comfort of cities in the regions of the presence of the Metinvest group. This year, cities of the company's presence in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Lugansk regions fall into the perimeter of the announced competition, ”says Andrei Khior, the regional development manager of the Ilyich plant.
Carried citizens of Mariupol, public organizations, funds and unions, administrations and their structural units are invited to participate in the competition; State and communal institutions.
Initiative groups of the population and ordinary people can also participate in the project, but only through an organization that satisfies the conditions of the developed provision on the holding of the competition.
As reported, last year's contest “City - our hands” caused a wide support for the population of cities in the presence of the Metinvest group. Then the jury was submitted to the jury of more than three hundred applications, of which sixty -one was financed in full. In 2012, Metinvest spent about 3 million 500 thousand UAH on the implementation of this program in six cities of Ukraine.
In Mariupol, thanks to this competition, Alya was built by Alya children of war in Primorsky Park and a new playground for children and young men in the Leporsky Park.
