Baker Hughes reported that for the week ended February 20, 2026, the number of rotary drilling rigs in the United States remained stable at 551.
The number of gas and oil drilling rigs remained unchanged at 133 and 409, respectively. The total U.S. rig count fell by 41 rigs compared with the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by two to 224 rigs for the week ended Feb. 20. The number of drilling rigs in Canada decreased by 20 compared to the same reporting period last year.
