According to the Chinese Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI), in 2025, the total volume of shipbuilding production in China amounted to 53.69 million deadweight tons (deadweight), which is 11.4 percent more than last year.
China's deadweight of new orders reached 107.82 million tons, down 4.6 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, as of the end of December last year, orders for ships on the balance sheets of Chinese shipbuilding enterprises amounted to 274.42 million tons of deadweight, which is 31.5 percent more than last year.
