Stocks of basic finished steel products in China increased by 22% in mid-February 2026

As of February 20 this year, the total domestic stocks of the five main types of finished steel products in 21 major Chinese cities totaled 9.53 million tons, an increase of 1.72 million tons or 22.0 percent compared to February 10, as announced by the China Association of Metallurgy and Steel (CISA).

In particular, as of February 20, Domestic stocks of HRC, CRC, medium steel sheet, wire rod and rebar increased by 18.9 percent, 14.6 percent, 9.1 percent, 41.5 percent and 27.5 percent, respectively, compared with February 10.
