US HRP imports increased 0.7 percent in December 2025 compared to November

U.S. hot-rolled sheet imports totaled 46,808 tons last December, up 0.7 percent from November and down 76.8 percent from December 2024, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Department of Commerce. 2024

The US imported the majority of HRC from Canada in December with 21,151 tonnes, up from 29,793 tonnes in November and 87,011 tonnes in December 2024. Other top sources of HRC imports in December included South Korea with 12,903 tonnes, the Netherlands with 4,861 tonnes and Mexico with 3,785 t. m
