Production for the week ended February 28, 2026 decreased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous week ended February 21, 2026 year, with production at 1.817 million net tons and a capacity utilization rate of 78.5 percent.
Production was 1.705 million net tons for the week ended February 28, 2025, at a capacity utilization rate of 76.5 percent. Production for the current week represents an increase of 6.2 percent year-over-year.
Adjusted year-to-date production through Feb. 28, 2026 was 15.048 million net tons, with a capacity utilization rate of 77.2 percent. This is up 5.0 percent from 14.332 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 76.4 percent.
