S. Department of Commerce, exports of rolled plates to the United States totaled 23,434 tons in December last year, down 36.4 percent month-on-month and 47.2 percent year-on-year. In value terms, exports of rolled plates totaled $25.43 million in December last year, compared with $41.48 million in the previous month and $42.22 million in the same month in 2024.
The United States shipped the largest number of plates in rolls to Mexico last December with 19,278 tons, compared with 30,079 tons in November and 35,729 tons in December 2024. Another popular destination was Canada with 4,001 metric tons. In December, there were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for the export of rolled plates to the United States.
