NBS: Rebar prices in China fell by 0.4 percent at the end of February 2026

At the end of February (21-28 February) this year, the average price in China of HRB 400E 20mm rebar decreased by 13.1/mt ($1.9/mt) or 0.4 percent to 3155.9 yuan/t ($457/mt) compared with the price at the beginning of February (1-10 February), as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China. During the period, average prices for wire rod, medium steel sheet, hot rolled coil (HRC), seamless steel pipes and angles decreased by 0.5%, 0.2%, 0.5%, 0.5% and 0.3%, respectively, compared to the beginning of February.
