According to preliminary data from the U.
S. Department of Commerce census, imports of pipe products from oil countries (OCTG) in December last year amounted to 75,295 tons, which is 14.6 percent less than in November and 29.7 percent less than last year. In value terms, OCTG imports totaled $96.39 million in December, compared with $102.75 million in November and $146.53 million in the same month in 2024.
The US imported the largest amount of OCTG from Vietnam in December with 16,018 tons, compared with 9,230 tons in December 2024. Other main sources of OCTG imports in December include the UAE with 14,812 tons, Austria with 11,752 tons and Canada with 9,172 tons
