On March 3, the 1422mm wide hot rolling conversion project of Meishan Steel, Nanjing-based Chinese steel company, a subsidiary of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., implemented by China MCC20, reached an important milestone - the first hot rolled coil was successfully produced, indicating the complete success of hot commissioning, according to China MCC20 Group Corp., Ltd. - the main mainline subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation - one of the Fortune 500 Companies owned by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC Group).
The project started on December 8, 2025, the production of the first hot-rolled coil took 85 days.
