Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 33.2% in January 2026%

According to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January of this year, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 36,874 metric tons, which is 52.4 percent less month-on-month and 33.2 percent less year-on-year. Meanwhile, revenue from these exports amounted to $21.63 million, a decrease of 50.8% month-on-month and 32.6% year-on-year.

In this month, Romania was the largest export destination for wire rod in Turkey, which received 12,481 tons, which is 60.9 percent less than last year. Romania is followed by Australia with an indicator of 9520 tons, which is 28.4 percent more, and Libya with an indicator of 3020 tons.
