According to Danieli Centro Recycling, the core of the plant will be a heavy-duty DCR 2227 shredder powered by a 4,000 hp (3,000 kW) main engine. The manufacturer indicated that the engine will be powered by Danieli's patented variable-speed drive system, which is designed to reduce power consumption by up to 20 percent while providing a sustainable output of 100 t/h of high-quality black material.
The manufacturer stated that the optimized plant layout and process configuration are designed to maximize scrap cost recovery, enhance operational safety, and increase the overall profitability of the plant for the operator.
