Turkey has exhausted its import quotas of trade bars and hollow sections in the first quarter for the UK

In the first month of the British quota period from January 1 to March 31, part of the import quotas for certain types of steel products allocated to Turkey and South Korea had already been exhausted, while, according to the British government, more than 65 percent of the quotas for certain types of steel products had been used up.

Regarding other quotas allocated to Turkey, the country has exhausted its quotas of 36,524 metric tons, 13,056 metric tons, and 10,898 metric tons for hollow sections, commercial ingots, and light sections and other welded pipes, respectively. In addition, Turkey used 68.93 percent of its quota of 15,386 tons for gas pipes.

In addition, South Korea has exhausted its quota of 14,583 tons for organic coated sheets.

Meanwhile, Taiwan used 75.55 percent of its quota of 32,785 tons for metal-coated sheets and 73.13 percent of its quota of 13,420 tons for HRC. In addition, India has exhausted 90.05 percent of its quota of 24,213 tons for metal-coated sheets, while China has used 66.72 percent of its quota of 5,733 tons for other welded pipes. Looking at the quotas allocated under "other countries", 94.24 percent of the quota of 3,370 tons for hollow sections and 71.57 percent of the quota of 3,204 tons for wire rod were consumed.
