Ukrainian metallurgical plant Zaporizhstal, owned by Metinvest, announced production results for February and the first two months of 2026.
In February, Zaporizhstal produced 253,400 tons of pig iron, 225,600 tons of steel and 189,800 tons of finished steel, a decrease of 4.7 percent, 4.1 percent and one percent year on year, respectively.
In January-February this year, Zaporizhstal's pig iron production amounted to 502,900 tons, down 9.1 percent year on year, while steel and finished steel production amounted to 460,000 tons and 406,000 tons, respectively, down 3.8 percent and 1.8 percent year on year.
