The United States shipped the largest number of merchant bars to Mexico in December with 2,410 tons, compared with 2,445 tons in November and 1,682 tons in December 2024. The other leading export destination was Canada with 1,284 tons. Last December, there were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for the export of American candy bars.

According to the export data of the US Department of Commerce, in December last year, exports of light bars to the United States amounted to 3,931 tons, which is 6.3 percent more than in November and 13.4 percent more year-on-year. In value terms, exports of merchant bars totaled $5.02 million in December, compared with $4.69 million in the previous month and $3.74 million in the same month in 2024.
