Spanish stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox has announced that, together with German industrial group Jeremias Group, it has launched the Blueline product range, described as the world's first low-emission flue and flue system.
The initiative aims to support the decarbonization of the construction industry by combining high-performance chimney systems with low-carbon stainless steel materials steel.
A product designed for low-carbon construction
The Blueline system contains more than 90 percent recycled material and provides at least a 50 percent reduction in carbon footprint compared to conventional chimney and duct materials, according to the companies.
The new system is based on sustainable Acerinox EcoACX ® stainless steel. The material includes a high proportion of recycled materials and is produced using 100% renewable energy.
The partners said smoke and gas removal systems can play an important role in developing decarbonization strategies. Through this collaboration, Acerinox and Jeremias aim to expand the use of low-carbon steel products in building infrastructure and support the broader transition to sustainable industrial production.
