In particular, coal exports from the Dalrymple Bay coal terminal (DBCT) in this month amounted to 4.01 million tons, which is 34.9% more than in the previous year. Meanwhile, in February, shipments from Hay Point increased by 27.7 percent year-on-year to 2.66 million tons, while shipments from Abbot Point totaled 2.07 million tons, an increase of 55.9 percent year-on-year. In addition, coal exports from the port of Gladstone increased by 26.5 percent compared to the same month in 2025 to 5.1 million tons in February.
In February, shipments from Gladstone to Japan accounted for 33.6 percent of total exports, while India, South Korea, and Vietnam accounted for 22.8 percent, 21.9 percent, and 7.5 percent, respectively.
At the same time, the total shipments of coal from the ports under consideration in January-February of this year amounted to 13.85 million tons, SteelOrbis reports.
