NBS: At the beginning of March 2026, local Chinese prices for rebar increased by 0.2 percent

In early March (March 1-10) this year, China's average price for 20mm HRB 400E rebar rose by RMB 6.8/t ($1.0/t) or 0.2 percent to RMB 3,162.7/t ($458/t) compared with the price at the end of February (Feb 21-28), China's National Bureau of Statistics announced. During the period, average prices for wire rod, medium steel sheet, hot rolled coil (HRC), seamless steel pipes and angles increased by 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.1 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively, compared to the end of February.
