In February this year, car production in Turkey stood at 116,037 units, up 0.6 percent year-on-year and 16.9 percent month-on-month, according to monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automobile Manufacturers Association (OSD). In January-February this year, Turkey's automobile production was 215,284 units, down 2.2 percent year-on-year.
In this month, passenger car production was 65,319 units, down 12.3 percent, while commercial vehicle production was 50,718 units, up 23.9 percent year-on-year. In January-February this year, the production of passenger cars amounted to 120,283 units, a decrease of 14.6 percent, and the production of commercial vehicles amounted to 94,461 units, an increase of 20.3 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.
The total capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automobile industry was 65.2 percent in February, and in the first two months of the year - 60.5 percent.
