In February of this year, steel imports from Vietnam totaled 873,107 tons, down 42.6 percent from January, while scrap metal imports were recorded at 432,882 tons, down 14.7 percent from the same month, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam In the first two months of the year, Vietnam's steel imports decreased 4.5 percent year-on-year to 2.39 million tons, while its scrap imports totaled 940,028 tons in the period, an increase of 14.9 percent year-on-year.
