In January-February this year, China's hot-rolled coil production totaled 34.058 million tons, down 6.7% year-on-year, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
During the same period, China's cold-rolled coil production totaled 7.682 million tons, up 1.7% year-on-year calculus.
In the first two months, prices for APCs in the domestic market of China first increased and then decreased. According to SteelOrbis, HRC prices peaked at 3,385 yuan/t ($491/t) on January 8, and the lowest level of the month was 3,300 yuan/t ($478/t) on February 25.
