According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, exports of cold-rolled coils to the United States in January this year totaled 64,926 tons, up 67.5% month-on-month and down 12.7% year-on-year. In value terms, CRC exports were $82.4 million in January, up from $52.95 million in the previous month and $89.24 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States shipped the most CRC to Mexico in January with 50,482 tons, compared to 28,772 tons in December and 55,523 tons in January 2025 year. Canada was another popular destination with 14,114 metric tons. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for US CRC exports in January.
