In January-February this year, China's iron ore production totaled 161.644 million tons, up 1.3% year on year, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the first two months of this year, iron ore import prices were generally moving in a downward direction. The lowest iron ore price level of $99/mt during the period was observed on February 24, while the highest level of $111/mt was observed on January 7, according to SteelOrbis data.
