The total volume of fixed asset investments (FAI) in railways, highways and waterways in China in January-February this year amounted to 272.928 billion yuan ($39.6 billion), which is 3.1% less compared to the same period last year, as announced by the Ministry of Transport of China (MOT).

During the specified period, the FAI in the construction of railways, highways and waterways in China amounted to 244.933 billion yuan ($35.5 billion) and 27.995 billion yuan ($4.1 billion), which is 3.6% and 0.7% more than in the same period last year, respectively.
