Exports of tubular products from oil-producing countries (OCTG) totaled 13,743 tons in January this year, up 30.7 percent from December and down 38.4 percent from January 2025, according to US Department of Commerce export data. In value terms, OCTG exports were $31.16 million in January, compared to $28.5 million in the previous month and $37.77 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States shipped the most OCTG to Canada in January with 9,216 tons, compared to 7,153 tons in December and 19,362 tons in January 2025. Other leading sources were Mexico with 1,639 metric tons and the UAE with 1,046 metric tons.
