In January of this year, U.S. exports of light bars (candy bars) totaled 4,567 tons, up 16.1 percent from December and up 13.1 percent from last year, according to U.S. Commerce Department export data. In value terms, trade bullion exports totaled $5.98 million in January, up from $5.02 million in the previous month and $4.58 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States shipped the most trade bullion to Mexico in January with 2,934 tons, compared to 2,410 tons in December and 1,909 tons in January 2025. The other leading export destination was Canada with 1,579 metric tons. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for U.S. trade candy bar exports in January of this year.
