In January-February of this year, China's weighted average purchasing costs for coking coal, metallurgical coke, domestically produced iron ore, imported iron ore fines and ferrous scrap decreased by 3.96 percent, 6.0 percent, 0.02 percent, 0.69 percent and 3.27 percent year-on-year, respectively, as announced by the Chinese Association of Ferrous Metallurgy (CISA).
In February of this year, the weighted average purchase price of coking coal increased by 0.93 percent, while the weighted average purchase costs for metallurgical coke, Chinese domestic iron ore (on a dry basis), imported iron ore and ferrous scrap decreased by 0.21 percent, 3.34 percent, 1.59 percent and 1.34 percent month-on-month, respectively
