Chinese metallurgical company Bayi Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Bayi Steel), based in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, announced that it recorded operating revenue of 18.75 billion yuan ($2.7 billion) in 2025, up 0.43% year-on-year, while a net loss of 1.879 billion yuan ($0.27 billion) for the period, compared with a net loss of 1.76 billion yuan registered in 2024.
In 2025, Bayi Steel produced 1.2749 million tons of long products, 4.132 million tons of flat products, which is 7.37% less and 15.86% more than the previous year.
In 2025, Bayi Steel produced 5.73 million tons of crude steel, 5.11 million tons of pig iron and 5.39 million tons of finished steel, up 9.4%, 10.4% and 9.3% year on year, respectively.
