Taiwan's CSC reports lower operating income for January-February 2026

China Steel Corporation (CSC), Taiwan's largest steel producer, has announced preliminary financial results for the first two months of this year.

In February, the company's carbon steel sales totaled 579,771 tons, while in January-February, carbon steel sales totaled 1.17 million tons.

In January-February, CSC's operating revenue was 50.54 billion New Zealand dinars ($1.57 billion), down 6.2 percent year-on-year, while the operating loss was 322.91 million New Zealand dinars ($10.06 million) compared with an operating profit of 995.41 million New Zealand dinars recorded in the same period last year. The operating revenue decreased and the operating loss increased due to a decrease in the specific gross profit of the metallurgical workshop.
