In March this year, average new home prices in China's 100 major cities were 17,115 yuan/square meter ($2,480/sqm), up 0.05 percent month-on-month, with growth of 2.24 percent year-on-year, as announced by the CIA, the largest independent real estate research organization in China.
Meanwhile, in March, average prices for second-hand housing in China's 100 major cities were 12,792 yuan/square meter ($1,854/sq.m.), down 0.34 percent month-on-month, 0.2 percentage points slower than the decline recorded in February this year and 8.55 percent in year-on-year, which is 0.23 percentage points slower than the year-on-year decline recorded in the previous month
