Turkey's wire rod exports totaled 65,745 metric tons in February this year, up 38 percent from January and up 75.7 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, revenue from these exports totaled $38.45 million, an increase of 40.2% month-on-month and 75.2% year-on-year.
In January-February, wire rod exports to Turkey totaled 103,161 tons, an increase of 0.3 percent, while the value of these exports increased 1.5 percent to $60.39 million, year-on-year.
Wire rod exports to Turkey - last 12 months
During the period, the largest wire rod export destination to Turkey was Romania, which received 39,462 tons, down 5.9 percent compared to the same period last year. Romania is followed by Australia with 19,161 metric tons, an increase of 130.8 percent, and Bosnia and Herzegovina with 7,450 metric tons.
