According to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports totaled 220,615 metric tons in February this year, up 52.9 percent from January and down 22.8 percent year on year. Meanwhile, revenue from these exports totaled $115.16 million, up 56.1% month-on-month and down 20.5% year-on-year.
In the first two months of this year, Turkey's HRP exports totaled 331,850 tons, down 13.5%, while the value of these exports fell 13% to $188.93 million, same as year-on-year.
Hot rolled coil exports to Turkey - last 12 months
During the period, the largest HRC export destination to Turkey was Italy with 44,320 tons, down 45.7 percent from last year. Italy is followed by Greece with 32,032 tons, down 10.6 percent, and the United States with 28,525 tons.
