The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) reported that at the end of March (March 21-31) this year, the average daily crude steel output of China's large and medium-sized steel mills - all CISA members - was 1.992 million tons, down 1.7% from mid-March (March 11-20) this year.
In mid-March, the average daily crude steel output China's large and medium-sized steel enterprises totaled 2.027 million tons, up 0.8% from early March (March 1-10).
The inventory level of China's large and medium-sized steel enterprises increased during the period. As of March 31, finished steel inventories of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 16.55 million tons, a decrease of 7.6% compared to March 20.
