According to statistics published by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), industrial production in France fell 0.6 percent month-on-month in February this year, after falling 0.7 percent in January this year. In December-February, French industrial output increased 1.1 percent year-on-year and 0.2 percent quarterly.
French production of base metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, remained unchanged in February from the previous month after falling 0.3 percent in the previous month.
On the other hand, French production of cars, trailers and semi-trailers fell 1.6 percent month-on-month in February after falling 5.9 percent month-on-month in the previous month, while domestic construction industry output fell 1.3 percent month-on-month in the month after falling 1.4 percent in January compared to December. In December-February, production volume of the domestic construction industry increased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous quarter
