According to the company's report on Friday, April 10, India's JSW Steel limited achieved consolidated steel production of 30.14 million tonnes in the 2025-26 financial year, an increase of eight percent year-on-year.
The company reported steel production of 29.25 million tonnes during the financial year from its India operations, up eight percent from the previous year Domestic production in the fourth quarter (January-March) of FY 2025-26 stood at 7.34 million tonnes, a slight decline of one percent year-on-year.
The company said its Salem steel plant in southern India was upgraded with a new ladle furnace and vacuum degasser commissioned in February 2026, increasing capacity from 1 million tonnes per annum to 1.15 million tonnes per annum.
Blast Furnace (BF) No. 3 at Vijaynagar Steel Plant has been closed since September 2025, impacting capacity utilization and production during the financial year, the company said.
