7 Steel Nordic Manufacturing announced that it is preparing the first batch of steel products to the Czech Republic, which marks the beginning of a new long-term market channel. The initial delivery consists of approximately 1,200 tonnes of rebar and coils produced at the Mo and Rana rolling mill.
The first delivery represents a trial entry into the Czech market and is part of the company's wider strategy to expand its presence in Europe under the management of Sev.en Global Investments. Preparations for market entry began in the fourth quarter of 2025 through a homologation approval process to ensure compliance with local technical and regulatory standards.
Stepwise growth in Central Europe
Shipments made in the first quarter of 2026 mark the first tangible result of these efforts. According to Hallvard Meisfjord, the company plans to gradually develop its presence in the Czech Republic, building on increased production capacity at its Mo i Rana site.
This initiative is consistent with 7 Steel Nordic's strategy to promote low-emission steel solutions across Europe. As demand for green building materials grows, the company aims to position itself as a supplier supporting low-carbon construction, particularly in Central European markets.
Czech Republic offers additional growth
The Czech Republic is seen as a complementary market to the company's core base in Scandinavia, providing growth opportunities without direct competition with existing ones customers.
7 Steel Nordic stressed that its commitment to the Scandinavian markets remains unchanged, with expansion into new export destinations to be carried out gradually along with capacity increases.
