Italian equipment manufacturer Danieli Technologies has announced that Serbia-based Utva Silosi AD Kovin has selected its subsidiary Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche SpA to supply a new electric welded welding (ERW) pipe production line, marking an investment aimed at expanding its production capabilities. The plant is currently in the design stage and is scheduled to start up in the first half of 2027.
The new line will be installed at the company's plant in Kovina, Serbia, and is designed to produce a wide range of welded pipes for a variety of industrial applications.
The supplied ERW pipe production line will be equipped with advanced technologies to ensure high product quality and operational efficiency, according to the statement. The equipment package will include sections for forming, welding, calibration and finishing. The new ERW mill will produce pipes with an outer diameter of up to 50 mm and a maximum thickness of 3 mm. The product range will include structural tubes and precision products suitable for the automotive industry. The line will operate at speeds exceeding 160 m/min and will be equipped with modern automation systems to ensure high productivity and consistent product quality.
The project is designed to increase the flexibility of Utva Silosi AD Kovin production and allow the company to meet the growing demand for welded pipe products.
