In March this year, Turkey's car production totaled 106,572 units, down 14.1 percent year-on-year and 8.1 percent month-on-month, according to monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD). During January-March of the year, car production in Turkey amounted to 321,856 units, which is 6.5 percent less than a year earlier.
In this month, passenger car production was 60,541 units, a decrease of 23.8 percent, and commercial vehicle production was 46,031 units, up three percent year on year. In January-March this year, the output of passenger cars amounted to 181,364 units, a decrease of 17.9 percent, and the output of commercial vehicles amounted to 140,492 units, an increase of 14.0 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.
The total capacity utilization of the Turkish automobile industry in March was 59.9 percent, while in March this figure was 60.3 percent. the first three months of the year.
