NBS: China rebar prices down 0.3 percent in early April 2026

At the beginning of April (April 1-10) this year, the average price in China of HRB 400E 20mm rebar decreased by 10.2/mt ($1.5/mt) or 0.3 percent to 3181.6 yuan/t ($463/t) compared to the price at the end of March (March 21-31), as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China. During the period, the average prices of wire rod, medium steel sheet and hot rolled coil (HRC) decreased by 0.9%, 0.1% and 0.6% respectively, the average price of seamless steel pipe remained stable, while the average price of angles increased by 0.1%, all compared to the end of March
