In the first three months of this year, car exports to Turkey totaled 215,323 units, down 15.1 percent, while passenger car exports decreased by 29 percent to 106,341 units, year-on-year. During the same period, the country exported 81,625 small trucks, which is 8.2 percent more than last year. In the specified period, revenues from total exports of motor vehicles and components increased by 3.3 percent to $9.68 billion, while revenues from exports of passenger cars totaled $2.5 billion, down 7.9 percent year-on-year.
In March, total imports of motor vehicles to Turkey totaled 69,556 units, down 18.7 percent from the previous year, while imports of passenger cars totaled 51,638 units, down 18.4 percent from the previous year.
