According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), from January to March this year, production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China were 2.965 million units and 2.96 million units, down 6.8 percent and 3.7 percent year on year, respectively.
In March alone, production and sales of new energy vehicles in China were 1.231 million units and 2.96 million units. 1.252 million units, up 3.6% and 1.2% year-on-year, while growth was 77.3% and 63.7% month-on-month.
China's new energy vehicle exports totaled 371,000 units in March, up 1.3 times year-on-year.
In the first three months of this year, China's exports of new energy vehicles totaled 954,000 units, 1.2 times more than last year.
Strong growth in NEV exports was the main driving force behind China's auto export growth, which totaled 2.226 million units between January and March, up 56.7 percent year-on-year calculus.
