According to the export data of the U.
S. Department of Commerce, exports of hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip (HDG) to the United States totaled 104,999 tons in February this year, down 4.6 percent month-on-month and 7.3 percent year-on-year. In value terms, HDG exports totaled $152.1 million in February 2026, compared with $160.43 million in the previous month and $164.3 million in the same month in 2025.The United States shipped the largest amount of HDG to Mexico in February with 67,170 tons, compared with 66,822 tons in January and 65,412 tons in February last year. Mexico is followed by Canada with 37,455 metric tons. In February, there were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for HDG exports to the United States.
